Diptesh Bhattacharya, a well-known name in the galaxy of IndianClassical Music. Performing extensively at home and abroad since more than last Twenty Years.Won the hearts of discerning audience with his personal style,unique tonal quality as well as the ‘gayaki aang baaj’(playing like Vocal).
Started training at the incredible age of three in Classical Vocal under Mrs.Keya Bhattacharya and his mother Mrs. Bansari Bhattacharya. At the age of ten, he fell in love with the instrument Sarod and initiated his training under Pt.Alok Lahiri.
Having won the coveted degree of Sangeet Pravakar, Diptesh successfully completed music appreciation course under State Music Academy,Govt. of West Bengal.
He is received intensive Taleem (training) from Pandit Kushal Das, one of the greatest world renowned Sitar maestro of Seni-Maihar Gharana of this era.
He is also received Taleem (training) from Pandit Anindya Banerjee, world renowned Sarod maestro and one of the senior most disciple of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan sahib.
Diptesh developed himself and took advanced Training under the guidance of world renowned Sitar maestro Pandit Subroto Roy Chowdhury till his demise.
To Him Indian Classical Music is like an Ocean and here learning is like a never ending process. After learning since last Thirty years he is now nurturing himself under the kind guidance of the doyen of Lucknow-Shahjahanpur Gharana, Ustad Irfan Muhammad Khan.
Diptesh creditably performing at home and abroad since last Twenty years . His recital has been strongly appreciated and eulogized by the Hindustani Classical Music lovers and World Music lovers. Diptesh has successfully composed music for regional Bengali flims and theatres.
